JFF Participates in UNICEF CNF Multi-Year Partnership Workshop

At the UNICEF Child Nutrition Fund (CNF) – Multi-Year Partnership Framework Development Workshop held in Islamabad (11–12 February, 2026), Dr. Abdul Ghaffar, Senior Technical Advisor at the Junaid Family Foundation (JFF), delivered the welcome remarks, setting the tone for a collaborative and forward-looking dialogue on strengthening nutrition systems in Pakistan. He emphasized that sustainable progress in maternal and child nutrition depends on deliberate alignment across federal and provincial governments, development partners, and implementing stakeholders.

In his remarks, Dr. Ghaffar highlighted the CNF as a catalytic opportunity, not only to expand high-impact interventions such as Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS), but also to invest in the systems that enable long-term delivery, accountability, and scale. He underscored the importance of prevention-focused investments, strengthened coordination, and a gradual transition toward increased domestic financing to ensure sustainability.

JFF expressed its readiness to continue providing technical advice and to actively support the expansion of MMS use, education, and distribution across Pakistan as the CNF furthers its collaboration with the Ministry of National Health Services Regulations & Coordination.

UNICEF leadership acknowledged JFF’s ongoing contribution and credibility within Pakistan’s nutrition landscape. The engagement reinforced JFF’s position as a thoughtful and collaborative partner in advancing coordinated action under the CNF framework and supporting the country’s broader nutrition priorities.
