New Publication: Advancing Maternal Nutrition in Pakistan
We are excited to announce the release of the Junaid Family Foundation’s first publication: Introduction of Multiple Micronutrient Supplements in Pakistan through the National Health System: A Pilot Study.
About the Study
This publication documents the early implementation, lessons learned, and policy-relevant insights from introducing multiple micronutrient supplements (MMS) for maternal nutrition through Pakistan’s national health system. This pioneering work laid the foundation for a subsequent donation and distribution of 2.1 million bottles of MMS, which concluded in 2025.
This important work was made possible through partnership and joint donation with Kirk Humanitarian, and leadership and collaboration of Pakistan’s Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination.
We are deeply grateful to our partners for their shared commitment to advancing maternal nutrition and strengthening public health systems.
We encourage colleagues, networks, and organizations working in nutrition, maternal and child health, and health systems strengthening to access and share these findings.
