JFF Announces Request for Proposals to Support Women’s Health in Greater Cleveland

The Junaid Family Foundation (JFF), a philanthropic organization committed to empowering vulnerable populations both locally within Ohio and around the world, announces a Request for Proposals (RFP) from relevant 501(C)3 organizations to support women’s health, with preference for maternal health-focused programming that improves health outcomes for women of low socioeconomic status living in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area (counties include: Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Medina, and Lorain).

Purpose

JFF is guided by a vision of Cleveland where preventable maternal deaths are no longer a reality and every woman, child and family has access to the care and support needed to thrive. During a time where maternal mortality rates remain unacceptably high, this initiative reflects the Foundation’s belief that investing in women’s health is foundational to stronger families, healthier communities, and more resilient societies.

This RFP seeks to support high-impact, community-based programs that address root causes of inequity, expand access to quality care, nutrition and mental health services, and strengthen health and wellbeing for women, with particular emphasis on maternal health. Priority will be given to initiatives addressing critical needs across the continuum of care, including, but not limited to: prenatal and postpartum services, birth preparedness, nutrition, mental health support, health education, care coordination, and connection to culturally responsive clinical and community resources.

Programming should address systemic and social barriers that disproportionately impact women’s health outcomes, such as food insecurity, housing instability, limited access to healthcare, transportation challenges, and economic insecurity. Proposed programs must take place within one or more of the specified counties and demonstrate a clear strategy and measurable results for improving health outcomes and reducing inequities among populations with limited financial resources in Greater Cleveland.

Eligibility Criteria

The RFP is open to:

  • Nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status.
  • Organizations operating within Greater Cleveland, Ohio, and have a proven track record of serving women of low socioeconomic status.
  • Collaborative partnerships between multiple entities are encouraged.
  • Projects demonstrating a measurable impact and a sustainable model for continued success.
Interested organizations may request an application by emailing programstatus@junaidfamilyfoundation.org.

Applications are due Wednesday, April 1st, 2026.
